Ontario Reception Networking Group (ORNG)

- a standing committee of ERGO



School boards across Ontario are mandated by the MOE ESL/ELD Policy Document to assess the language and math skills of students arriving directly from non-English speaking countries from across the world. 


Some school boards have reception centres with teachers assigned to assess the language and math skills of thousands of newcomer students who register at their school board.  Small and medium size school boards have itinerant ESL/ELD teachers that travel to schools to assess the language and math skills of newcomer students who register at their schools.
